Culture and Nature Combined
A Private Transfer to The Kröller Müller Museum
Image visiting the Kröller Müller Museum and the National Park de Hoge Veluwe without any stress? With a pickup from your accommodation.
That is what my private transfer is. I’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Amsterdam in a private car and take you to the Kröller Müller museum and the national park and back. No stranger and we can adapt departure times and tour length to your preferences.
While there, you can enjoy the world’s 2nd largest Van Gogh collection and an excellent sculpture garden at the Kröller Müller museum on your own. Uniquely set in the country’s largest National Park. On the drive out there I can give you practical tips and background stories.
I’ll be available to take you around the park if you would like to do that, and return to your accommodation after your visit at the time you want to go back.
Why book this service compared to other alternatives?
- Save time. Public transit takes longer and requires transfers.
- No hassle. No transit or driving in a foreign country yourself.
- Convenience. I’ll pick you up at your accommodation.
- More time. You’ll have more time at the park than with a group tour.
- More than just a transfer. I take you into the park, and around it.
- Flexible. I can adapt travel times and tour length to your needs.
- Access to a local. I’ll be your guide = direct access to a local.
Tour details:
- Length: 6 hours (4 hours in the park, which you can extend)
- Price: €599 (per party, maximum four passengers). Transportation, parking, and 21% tax are included. Extra hours are €100/h.
Tickets for the national park and museum are excluded. - Transportation: Private Car (Compact SUV) I pick you up at your accommodation. All car related costs are included.
- Opening Hours: The museum is not closed on Mondays during winter, only between the end of April and September (afternoons). From Tuesday to Sunday the museum is open from 10 AM to 5 PM.
PS: For pickups outside of Amsterdam, arrangements can be made, prices may vary. The same applies to a different return location.
We just returned from a wonderful day with Gerrit. We visited the Kröller Müller Museum……a must see……and the park followed by an afternoon in Amersfoort. Gerrit was the best. We were never rushed and Gerrit was very knowledgeable about the history and stories of the region and offered tips for the remainder of our trip. It was a tour we will never forget.

Private transfer OR a Full-Day Tour
When you book a private transfer you have four hours at the park to visit the museum and the park itself. For most people this is enough time. It’s longer than most tour companies offer (three hours).
But in case you’d like to extend your tour time at the museum/national park, you always can at €100 per extra hour. You can decide this while we’re in the park on the day itself.
Perfect if you’re enjoying the museum a lot or would like to extend your time in the National Park to explore more, for example go cycling on the free white bikes, and or book a guided tour of the country house (Jachthuis).
Or you might consider upgrading to a full day tour:
Full-Day Tour Options
I offer three different full-day options, so you truly experience a day out in the country away from the city:
- Combine a visit to Kröller Müller with a tour of Amersfoort, one of the most underrated and beautiful medieval cities in the Netherlands. We’ll also visit a former fishing village. +300.
- Or combine your Kröller Müller Museum visit with a tour of the country’s most beautiful castle, Het Loo (not on Mondays). This palace is called the Versailles of the North. +300 and castle tickets.
- For Van Gogh Fans: Combining your visit with Nuenen will be the highlight of your trip. It is aptly called Van Gogh Village. Here, he created most of his Dutch works. You literally step into his footsteps and his paintings. +400.
I can also make a bespoke plan, just ask in the comment section.
Betsy and I want to thank you so much for making the ‘Grand Finale’ of our 2-week vacation truly Grand! Gerrit braved the King’s day crowds to pick us up at our hotel and whisk us out of town.
At the museum, our hearts soared as we viewed the Van Gogh paintings, some of which we’d never seen before in person or even in books. We enjoyed the park grounds, the sculpture garden, and outdoor restaurant before heading back to Amsterdam.
We enjoyed lively repartee during our ride back to the city, and Gerrit got us as close to our hotel as the King’s Day crowds and the barricades would allow, and we ended the day by having a willing stranger take pictures of the 3 of us for our memories.
We will never forget the fabulous end to our vacation. How lucky we were to stumble across such a prince of a gentleman who went above and beyond the extra mile and whom we now gratefully call our friend! Thanks again Gerrit!!!
