    Getting There

    Public Transportation: Tram lines 4, 9, 14, and 24. Or Metro 52.

    My Tips

The museum has a cafe with excellent views of the Amstel River (officially Rokin for this stretch). It's a wonderful place for a break.

The entrance fee is pretty high for what you see inside. I enjoy visiting, but it's not somewhere I spend hours. Skip the single ticket and get the I Amsterdam Card instead - then it feels like a nice bonus stop.
