This flower fields tour is built around the best way to see spring flowers in the Netherlands: wide, open working fields with long rows of color, far from tour buses and designated photo stops. This tour is a peek inside the flower industry.
We begin at the flower auction, where millions of stems are traded each morning. You see how flowers move from Dutch soil to homes and shops around the world, in real time.
After that, we head into the countryside. Not to staged photo stops where all the tour busses go (and most private tours), but to wide, working spring flower fields with long rows of color stretching across open farmland, far from tour buses and heavy foot traffic. Yes, its a drive, but well worth it.

A Comfortable Way to See the Flowers
You don’t have to drive, navigate unfamiliar roads, and roadsigns, or worry about parking near the fields. I pick you up at your door and handle the logistics, so you can simply enjoy the scenery and the day.
Why These Flower Fields Feel So Different
Many visitors don’t realize that most flower stops tour busses make are not true working fields.
Farmers are sometimes paid to keep small sections in bloom longer so large groups can stop there. Everyone gathers in the same narrow area, and the focus quickly shifts to waiting your turn for a photo.
On this day, we visit active flower-growing areas instead far from the tourist areas.
That means:
- Long, uninterrupted rows of spring flowers in every color
- Fields spread out across the countryside
- Very few other visitors
- Space to walk, look, and enjoy the view at your own pace
This is how I like to see the flowers myself, and how I enjoy showing them to my overseas friends and guests.
An Early Start: But I Promise It’s For a Good Reason
We begin the day early with a visit to the flower auction. The largest flower auction in the world. Depending on the day of the week and the exact location of your accommodation I recommend a departure at 6 A.M.

Is This Better Than Keukenhof?
It’s not better, it’s different.
Keukenhof is carefully designed and very popular.
This day focuses on scale, trade, and the countryside atmosphere.

- 59 days to 7 days before your tour: you forfeit the 25% deposit.
- If you paid in full, you will receive a 75% refund.
