“We just returned from a wonderful day with Gerrit. We visited the Kröller Müller Museum……a must see……and the park followed by an afternoon in Amersfoort. Gerrit was the best. We were never rushed and Gerrit was very knowledgeable about the history and stories of the region and offered tips for the remainder of our trip. It was a tour we will never forget.

Private Driver & Custom Days

If you already know where you want to go — or prefer to set your own pace — you can book me as your private driver anywhere in the Netherlands.

You choose the destinations. I handle the driving, parking, timing, and logistics, so you don’t have to navigate unfamiliar roads or public transport.

This works well for places that are hard to reach without a car, full custom itineraries, or days you simply want handled.

Often used for:

  • 🎢 Theme parks like Efteling, without the hassle of driving or transit

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book a tour with you as my guide?

I personally run all the tours above. When I’m unavailable on your preferred date, I may suggest other guides from my network – but that’s your choice. You’ll always know who your tour guide is before you book.

Do I need to pay in advance?

For bookings made more than 60 days in advance, a 25% deposit secures your date, with the balance due 7 days before the tour. If you prefer, you can also save 2% by paying in full upfront.

For bookings made within 60 days, full payment is required at the time of booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

You’ll receive a full refund if you cancel up to 60 days before the tour. Cancellations between 59 and 3 days: you forfeit the 25% deposit. If you paid in full, you will receive a 75% refund.

Last-minute cancellations (within 7 days) are not possible, but I’ll always try to help with rebooking if I can.

Are tips included?

Tips are not included. If you’re unsure, €100 per day is a common reference, but tipping is always optional and entirely at your discretion. In the Netherlands, tips are given for great service, not as a default.

Are tours suitable for children or travelers with mobility issues?

Often yes, but it depends on the tour. Let me know your situation in the booking form, and I’ll confirm within 24 hours whether the tour can be adapted comfortably.

What languages do you offer tours in?

I offer tours in English, Dutch, and Swedish. English is near-native; Dutch is my native language. I’ve lived and worked in international environments and guide many guests from North America.

What happens if weather or conditions change?

Tours run in most weather conditions. I adapt the day when needed to make sure you still have a great experience.

If needed and my schedule allows, we can also look at rescheduling to another date.

Why Book With Me

When you travel with me, you’re not joining a tour — you’re handing over the day to someone who knows the country, plans carefully, and adapts when real life happens.

  • I pick you up right at your door – no meeting points, no stress
  • It’s just your private group — no strangers, no fixed group pace
  • I’m born and raised here, with local context that makes places come alive in a way you won’t get from a script
  • We stay in touch before and during your trip, so nothing feels uncertain
  • You’ll travel in a comfortable, modern electric vehicle
  • I handle tickets and timing — no lines, no stress
  • We move at your pace, with time to stop, look around, and enjoy the moment

My tours focus on what matters to you. I adjust if needed, answer questions as they come up, and make sure you experience the Netherlands in a way that feels authentic.

Lisa from Massachusetts said it best:

“It’s like having a friend in Amsterdam!”

– Lisa, MA USA

Book early — I fill up quickly. Last-minute requests are sometimes possible, but availability is limited.

Not Sure Which Hidden Holland Tour Is Right for You?

Planning a trip from afar can feel overwhelming — especially when you want to make the most of limited time. A short 1:1 planning call with me can make things much clearer.

We’ll talk through what matters to you, what kind of pace you enjoy, and how to shape your days so they feel relaxed, personal, and well thought out — whether that means one of my tours or something custom.

If you decide after the call to book a tour with me you get a 100 euro credit towards your tour.
