Tours with me:
Tour with me are uniquely personal and tailored to your interests. I invest time in getting to know you. A tour with me needs to feel personal. Lisa from Massachusetts said it best (that’s how I want you to feel):

- 2nd call just before departure to discuss our tour and personalize it for you
- Pick-up and return from your accommodation, no meeting points
- Tour customized to your interests

Amsterdam Private City Tours
Discovering a new city with a private guide guarantees you’ll learn about the place like a local. It’s great for finding your bearings and hidden gems. Here you can choose between a tour with me, or with a partner company.
A tour with me is a personal introduction to Amsterdam and my personal favorite spots and hidden gems. It’s a great way to familiarise yourself with the city. With a partner tour you can choose between different guides who all have a different angle.
Amsterdam Private Museum Tours
If you love culture, visiting one of the top Amsterdam museums is a necessity. Such as the Rijksmuseum or Van Gogh, which are both top-notch.
But these large museums can be overwhelming and drain you. Art can be brought to life and personalized with a good private tour. Making the experience so much better.

The Kröller Müller Museum is home to the world’s second-largest Van Gogh collection. It’s also famous for its extensive sculpture garden and its location in a national park.

Why not extend it to a full day? Choose either medieval Amersfoort, the exquisite palace “Het Loo,” or the town of Nuenen, and follow Vincent van Gogh’s footsteps.

We just returned from a wonderful day with Gerrit. We visited the Kröller Müller Museum……a must see……and the park followed by an afternoon in Amersfoort. Gerrit was the best. We were never rushed and Gerrit was very knowledgeable about the history and stories of the region and offered tips for the remainder of our trip. It was a tour we will never forget.

Delft AND Kinderdijk, The Hague or Bruges Tours
Join me for a day in beautiful and historic Delft, one of my favorite cities in The Netherlands, where time stood still and a second destination of your choice.
Will you opt for the Unesco-listed world-famous windmills at Kinderdijk, Royal The Hague, with the best Indonesian food and famous museums, or medieval Bruges?

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I book a tour with you as my guide?
Yes, you can. Just look for the tours above with my profile photo at the top. My availability is limited, however. If I am unavailable, I can recommend you to great alternative guides.
Do I need to pay for my tour in advance?
If you book more than 30 days ahead, you can choose to make a 25% deposit and pay the remainder of your tour no later than 3 days before our tour date. If you pay in full instead, you get a 2% early payment discount. For bookings within 30 days, you’d need to pay in full at the regular price. In case you need to cancel, my cancellation policy applies.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel up to 60 days ahead for a full refund. Between 3 and 59 days, get a 50% refund. No changes are possible within 72 hours of your tour. I will try accommodating a re-booking request, but options will be limited. Cancellation policies of partners may vary.
Are tips included?
Tips are not included for partner tours. Here is my guide on Tipping in Amsterdam to help you understand how to tip while here. For tours you take with me personally, you’ve already paid for my time. But as a token of appreciation, you can always leave me a tip if I went beyond your expectations. This is optional and at your discretion.
Can you accommodate special requests?
I’ll always do my best to accommodate you. Just fill out the appropriate box on the booking form. Most partners can also accommodate special requests. Just get in touch with them.
Are tours suitable for children or travelers with mobility issues?
It all depends on the tour. But usually, yes, they are. Just let me know in the comments field when booking, and I’ll inform you within 24 hours if I can accommodate your request. If you book with a partner, please read their description or reach out to them before you book.
What is the maximum group size for private tours?
That depends on the tour. Prices quoted on this page are based on groups of 1-4 people. More is often possible but usually requires adjustments and different pricing. Just fill out the booking form, and I will inform you about the correct costs and possibilities. The same applies to partner tours.
What languages do you offer tours in?
I can offer tours in English, Swedish, and Dutch. My level of English is near proficient. I speak and write English daily, have American friends, have lived in the US for a while, and have had an English-speaking job at Amsterdam Airport. Dutch is my native language. I’m conversational in Swedish. Partner tour guides will always be able to conduct a tour in English. Other languages vary for every guide. Check out their profiles to learn more about their language capabilities.
Do you provide transportation during the tour?
Yes, all tours outside of Amsterdam always include transportation. If you book with me, I always use an SUV car for tours for up to four people and a minivan for larger groups. Other tour guides also provide transportation but might require you to travel to a meeting point yourself. Tours with me always include a pick-up from your accommodation. We usually walk or take a tram for tours within Amsterdam.
What should I wear or bring during the tour?
It’s best to wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking and adapt your clothes to the weather. Bring a water bottle and a fully charged phone to take plenty of pictures.
Don’t worry if you forgot your water. I always carry an extra bottle and gladly provide you with one free of charge. If needed, I have a battery pack (with a lightning and USB-C cable).
Will you visit the red light district?
I will not offer tours into the red-light district due to local restrictions and personal preference. If you want to book a tour in this area, I know excellent tour guides who can provide a fantastic, entertaining, and informative tour. Just reach out to me, and I’ll connect you.
