Planning where to stay near Keukenhof can be overwhelming.
With millions of visitors flocking to the tulip fields each spring, choosing the right location makes all the difference in your experience.
Let me break down your best hotels near Keukenhof options by location, starting with the closest to Keukenhof:
Lisse – Right at Keukenhof’s Doorstep
Lisse puts you right where the action is. This is a small village, right next to the park.
You’ll be walking distance from Keukenhof and surrounded by tulip fields.
Here are my top picks:
- Boutique Suites Lisse (800m from Keukenhof)
Modern 4-star accommodation with city views and a French restaurant. They offer bike rentals and picnic baskets – perfect for exploring the flower fields. - Hotel de Duif Lisse
- Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim
The downside of Lisse, is that the town is not as easily accessible by public transportation.
You really need your own wheels if you want to stay here.
You can also book a pre-booked taxi for a reasonable price, but there is not much else to do in Lisse. (No Uber here)
If you just go to the gardens I recommend staying in Amsterdam instead and arrange private transportation to the park instead.
You can book me for a private transfer to the park, or you might prefer a tour.

⤷ Here more information about a private transfer with me
A benefit about staying in Lisse is that hotels here are usually cheaper, even though they’re so close to the gardens (most people sleep in Amsterdam)

Noordwijk – Combine Tulips with the Beach
Just 12km from Keukenhof, Noordwijk offers a unique combination of tulip fields and seaside charm.
Dutch beaches always make me happy.
The wind, and the wide beaches makes it so easy to decompress and clear your head.
Noordwijk aan Zee is spoiled with luxury accommodations.
And direct bus 90 gets you to Keukenhof in 35 minutes.
Or just book a pre-booked taxi for private transportation.
I can highly recommend the five options below:

- Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin
A luxury beachfront hotel with spectacular North Sea views. Perfect if you want to combine flower viewing with upscale coastal relaxation. - Van der Valk Palace Noordwijk
Located between the beach and tulip fields, offering free parking and bike rental. - Vesper Hotel
A boutique hotel with stylish rooms and excellent service, just steps from the beach. - Hogerhuys Noordwijk Hotel – No Kids
- Alexander Hotel Noordwijk
Leiden – Cultural Hub with Easy Access
Rembrand’s hometown is just 20km from Keukenhof, with direct buses during the garden’s opening season.
Not a bad place to stay. Leiden is beautiful and worth exploring.
Here are some great and luxurious accommodation options, that are quite affordable compared to Amsterdam:
- Golden Tulip Leiden
Conveniently located near Leiden Central Station, modern rooms and helpful staff. - Landgoed Oud-Poelgeest
A historic castle-turned-hotel, perfect for a unique stay. - Boutique Hotel Steenhof Suites (no kids)
- Boutique Hotel d’Oude Morsch Leiden
Haarlem – Historic City and Convenient

Haarlem is quite ideal.
Haarlem is just 15 minutes by train or taxi from Amsterdam.
Its more affordable then Amsterdam.
It’s close to the beach.
Has one of the most beautiful churches in the country you can visit.
Charming accommodation.
And if the above is not enough there are direct busses to the Keukenhof Park.
Bus 50 connects directly to Keukenhof.
And if you’re planning to see the Flower Parade (April 12, 2025) it’s even better, since the route ends here, and the floats will be on display for the public both the evening of the 12th, as the day after, Sunday April 13th.
If interested you in Haarlem here are my accommodation recommendations:
- Hotel Lion D’Or – Right by the station, perfect for day trips to both Keukenhof and Amsterdam.
- Amrâth Grand Hotel Frans Hals Haarlem, the place to be in Haarlem right on the central square.
- Boutique Hotel Staats Haarlem – a beautiful boutique hotel in the center of Haarlem
- B&B Hotel Malts – Family-run accommodation in the heart of historic Haarlem, with lots of personal attention.
Amsterdam – Tourist Hub
While not the closest option, Amsterdam works quite well actually if you want to visit the Keukenhof gardens.
If you book a private tour with me, I will pick you up at any Amsterdam address, and bring you back to your hotel.
Many group tours also leave from Amsterdam. Ideal for an easy trip to the gardens.
The tour I recommend has flexible return times, giving you the freedom to stay at the park as long as you want.
- Ambassade Hotel – Luxury canal-side hotel with excellent transport connections.
- Doubletree by Hilton Amsterdam Central Station – Convenient, super modern
- De Ware Jacob – Boutique hotel near museums, offering a more intimate stay.
- Hotel JL76 – Comfortable mid-range option with good bus connections to Keukenhof.
The Ambassade hotel is one of my favorite hotels on the canal belt.
It’s so pretty.
But transportation wise its a bit more of a hassle.
The Doubletree is perfect for trips outside of the city.
Since you’re so close to the train and bus station, and the free ferry that you can use to reach your Keukenhof tour pick up location.
De Ware Jacob and Hotel JL76 are near Museum square, ideal for the Keukenhof Express busses since they pass right by.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hotels Near Keukenhof
How far in advance should I book a hotel near Keukenhof?
Hotels book fast. As a rule of thumb: book at least 3-4 months ahead for April and early May stays. Popular hotels often sell out months in advance, especially for weekends. In this case the best day to book was yesterday, the next best day is today.

If you have your own transportation, staying closer to Keukenhof in towns like Lisse or Noordwijk allows early access and a more relaxed experience of the tulip fields. Yes, several hotels in Lisse are within walking distance, including Boutique Suites Lisse and Hotel de Duif Lisse, both just 800 meters from the entrance.
